As of January 1, 2007 the IBAN number of the beneficiary account will become mandatory data in all payment transactions in EUR. The lack of IBAN might result in the rejection of the payment order by the beneficiary bank and the payment may be transferred back to the initiator. Please note that for any EUR currency payments outside of CLS settling during the March 2007 quarterly FX deliveries require IBAN identifiers. If you are receiving EUR please be certain to enter your IBAN number in your commitment in order to avoid any processing errors. If you are delivering EUR to CME’s agent bank and you do not have the CME IBAN identifier please contact us at (312) 930-3172 in order to obtain this information.
